Even though home prices are showing a decline it’s still a great time to invest in real estate, but it has to be the right type of real estate

What is the right type? Multi-family properties. The returns on Multi-family properties are up for the 3 months ended June 30th, 2022 even while home prices have decreased almost 8%.

Why is multi-family a good type of real estate to invest in? Three main reasons – would be home buyers are being side-lined by increasing interest rates and tighter lending policies, vacancy rates are extremely low, rental prices are increasing due to low vacancy and heightened competition.

Long term Sustainability for new housing – in the right markets with the right dynamics, new homes will always be needed due to demand greatly outweighing supply.
