What You'll Need:
Tools
- Shaker Tin (sub in mason jar, large travel mug, thermos etc)
- Juicer (something to squeeze that citrus!)
- Jigger (sub in measuring cups/spoons)
- Barspoon (sub in chopstick, butter knife or something long/thin)
- Hawthorne Strainer (sub in slotted spoon)
- Fine Mesh Strainer (optional for smoother drink and better foam)
- Cocktail Pick (optional – sub in toothpick, kebab skewer)
- Straw (optional)
Glasswares
- Collins (or any large/tall glass approx 12-14 oz capacity)
- Rocks (something short and wide approx 10 oz capacity)
- Coupe or Martini (literally any glass that makes you feel fancy – min 5 oz capacity)
Ingredients:
From the Liquor Store
- Gin (London Dry Style – Beefeater, Bombay, Tanqueray)
- Whiskey (Bourbon or Rye – Bulleit is good, cheap and diverse)
- Brandy (St. Remy VSOP, Fundador etc)
- Sweet Vermouth (Antica Formula, Punt e Mes, Martini, Cinzano)
- Campari
- Cointreau
From the Grocery Store
- 2-3 Lemons
- 2-3 Limes
- 1 Medium-sized Orange
- Sugar (make simple syrup in advance with 1 part sugar, 1 part water)
- Angostura bitters
- Cocktail cherries (if using maraschino, give them a soak in Brandy for 1-2 days)
- Egg (carton egg white will also work, or aquafaba for vegan/vegetarian)
- Small Ice – 1” x 1” (grocery store bagged ice or fresh homemade ice)
